Important Details: Property Address: 46 Winding Lane, Norwalk Listing Price: $459,000 Status: Just SOLD at $447,500 on June 12, 2017 Bedrooms: 3 | Bathrooms: 2 | Square Feet: 1,668 Garage: 1 Car Attached | Hardwood Floors | Excellent Condition | Fireplaces: 1 Most of the major websites where we (Realtors) market our listings has one major flaw - the inability to hear the true story of a home, before a buyer enters the home. Here is that true story of 46 Winding Lane, from my perspective. Listing a home like 46 Winding Lane, that is in this excellent condition, and located in a desirable area like Cranbury, sells itself. The combination of these two factors work as a symbiotic relationship to create a buzz about a property. Let me walk you through this home from my perspective: Approaching the driveway, you can already imagine kicking the ball in the road with your family, or racing on your bikes. The only traffic here is from direct neighbors, as there are alternative routes to get to the streets nearby. The driveway fits several cars, and the road several dozen more. The flat yard has already caught my attention. The home itself is one-level, and light blue, with mature plantings throughout the front of the home, providing much welcomed privacy from neighbors. ![]() Going down the path to this unique home makes it feel as if you are entering a new land - ripe with potential and opportunity. Entering the front door, there is a mud room, with slate floors, a possible sitting area and closets. The windows look out the front yard, and also into the Living Room. Going through door two, and you enter the large, open living area. This area includes the Living Room, Dining Room, and Kitchen, tastefully opened as one large space. The hardwood floors are present, but the craftsmanship of the finishings are what really catch your eye. The living room is centered around a fireplace and mantle with nice stone work that is illuminated by the natural light coming from all angles. There are also wires for surround sound, easily brought through the attic into the walls for a sound system. This room includes the slider to the back deck in the dining room, and the windows on either side. The kitchen features a peninsula/breakfast bar that connects the living room, as well as a set of shelves tastefully placed where the supporting column is located, separating but maintaining that connective feel.,
To the right of this main living space, there is a small den or bonus room, that ultimately leads to the garage. This can be an oversized mudroom or storage room with the right finishes, or continue to be maintained as a bonus TV room/den. The privacy of the room lends to its appeal. The left side of the home is where the three bedrooms and two bathrooms are located. Two of the bedrooms are at the back of the home, past a full bathroom, in excellent condition. This bath also has a tub, and nice stonework throughout. It is also right off the kitchen, so easily accessible for guests, without having to journey into your private space. Going back through that hallway, there are two bedrooms, with wall to wall carpet that is in great condition. The first bedroom is 'L' shaped, and of good size. The second is a square (and large), and has access to the back deck through a second pair of sliders. Recessed lighting throughout the whole home. ![]() At the front of the home, to the left of the main entrance, but with hallways and storage to keep separate, is the master suite. This room is magnificent, with vaulted ceilings that allow for Palladium windows, and modern window blinds. There are also moldings that conceal track-style lighting, to set the mood. The master closet has built-in California-style closets, and plenty of space for two. The real star here is the stone bathroom, with much character. The whole, large shower has stone throughout, and modern fixtures, multiple fans, and more. Radiant heated floors keep the warmth as you shower. It is a large bathroom, and in such excellent shape. The backyard, accessed through the living room or back bedroom, features an over-sized deck, consuming much of the back yard. This huge deck leads to the side yard, where there was once an above-ground pool. The deck is still cut to replace that pool, or reconfigure to accommodate a flat patch of yard. There is surround sound audio out on the deck, perfect for evening Hot Tub parties. The Hot Tub is functional, and a compliment to the rest of this large deck. With an above-ground pool installed, this is the perfect entertaining home. There is also a shed and small yard back here, all overseeing a private lot, a brook in the back, and no back neighbors for hundreds of feet. 46 Winding Lane is a great entertaining home, and really can shine with the right buyers. Offered at $475,000, a steal, this home will go quickly. With a desired location, reasonable amount of space, and no need for upgrades to the bathrooms or kitchen, some lucky buyer just has to get here first!
