Important Details: Property Address: 6 Glendenning Street, Norwalk Listing Price: $399,000 Status: SOLD for $377,000 on January 8, 2018 Bedrooms: 3 | Bathrooms: 1.5 | Square Feet: 1,560 Immense Charm | Hardwood Floors | Sunroom | Level Yard Most of the major websites where we (Realtors) market our listings has one major flaw - the inability to hear the true story of a home, before a buyer enters the home. Here is that true story of 6 Glendenning Street, from my perspective. As the real estate market in Norwalk continues to remain strong, homes like 6 Glendenning are difficult to come by. This home has every check on today's buyer's check-off list, in Norwalk, under $500,000. Let's talk about what I see when I enter this home: This home immediately shows its charm and character when you enter the front door - the hardware on the doors, enhancing the style of this colonial, are sure to impress. This front entrance has a coat closet on the right, and a small quarter bath on the left. ![]() Entering the living room, you immediately feel at home - the furniture is centered around the wood-burning fireplace, and there is ample space for couches, chairs, and tables. The hardwood floors shine, and the open-style highlights what makes it so special, Built in the 1930's, it is clear the owners have maintained the features that lend to that charm. The living room leads to a sunroom, and also the dining room. The sunroom is the length of the home, on its right side. It has countless windows, and could be used for many purposes. The dining room is great for entertaining, and leads directly into the basement, or to the kitchen. ![]() As I photographed this kitchen, I kept excited about the amount of natural light this layout produces. There is no absence of functionality, despite one wall taken by a glass block wall. There is ample counter space and cabinet space, and the kitchen is in great condition. This kitchen also leads directly onto the back deck, and back yard. The back yard is level, with fences on all sides, leading to a perfect entertaining space. ![]() The upstairs on this home, accessed by the living room or kitchen, features hardwood throughout all three bedrooms. Each bedroom is unique, but large enough for a queen bed. The bathroom also has its own charm, and is in good condition as well. The last door, besides the many storage closets, is a door to staircase to the attic, perfect for storage. The walk-out basement is the footprint of the home, and the 1-car attached garage is the foot print of the sunroom, also accessed from the lower level. The basement is dry, and has potential for finishing it in the future. The location must not be overlooked, and rounds off the check-off list we discussed. It is situated on a street that is not busy, and only used by neighbors - it is also close to everything! If a buyer were to seek a home in a desirable location, close to shopping and schools, but also quiet and private, this would be the home. Everything a buyer wants, all under $450,000 - a deal that cannot be beat! NOTE: NOT listed on MLS, Zillow, Trulia, Realtor.com or any other major website. To see this home, call Joe (203.216.0670)!
